Any plans to develop a lending module (check-out/check-in of items)?

I understand that ICA-Atom is first of all focused on description. But
in institutional settings where the archive also contains semi-active
records that are frequently required for office use, a lending module
is a must. Are there any plans to develop this?

You are correct, ICA-AtoM is an application that assists Archives in publishing their archival descriptions online and enabling online access to archival holdings. The records in the custody of an Archives are no-longer in active or semi-active use by their creators, the records have been set-aside for long-term preservation and are made available to patrons of the archives through reference services and online database browsing.

There are no plans for ICA-AtoM to create a lending module. Perhaps you would be interested in reviewing software aimed at active and semi-active records, such as Electronic Document Management System [EDMS] or Electronic Records Management System [ERMS]. Here is link to the Wikipedia page on Records Management.
