前民進黨主席蔡英文昨(13)天接受媒體訪問時表示，從最近一連串發生的事件來看，有一個正向的發展，台灣社會已經走到下個階段，也就是由人民和社會公民團體來主導社會改革的過程，以逼迫政府必須走向改革的路。
蔡英文是昨天和導演吳念真一起接受三立電視「新台灣加油」節目專訪時，作以上表示。
蔡英文說，從最近反媒體壟斷、退休制度及反核等議題來看，人民發現，你不能像舊時代一樣交給統治者，而是自己來主導社會改革的進程。
她說，下個階段，民主制度將會走向民主協商制，一個統治者不能再透過占多數的國會和行政權，替人民決定走向哪裡，她自己就可以決定，怎樣分配社會的資源，頂多開幾百場座談會。她說，這是威權統治以及舊時代父權政府的心態。
蔡英文表示，從一連串的事件來看，台灣社會已經走到下一個階段，亦即由人民和公民團體來主導一個社會改革的過程，逼迫政府必須走向改革的路。但是現在的政府，還在掙扎當中。她說，以現在的年金改革政策為例，我們看到總統最後最後由他做決定，然後動用黨紀在國會強行過關。蔡英文強調，這不是社會要的。
蔡英文表示，反核議題是跨越藍綠，而反媒體壟斷則有許多年輕人參與。過去以為可以透過政治來解決，但近來的社會力一直在成長，這樣的社會力，可以制約政治力，並彌補政治力的不足。當政府失能讓人民失望和生氣時，社會力的成長，對台灣是很重要的。
吳念真也認為，這是台灣不幸中的大幸。他說，小時候住在礦區，報紙和電視的記者都不來，發生礦災死了四五人，報紙也不報，但家庭失去支柱怎麼辦? 因此全村就自己來，互相支持，自己照顧自己。但政治人物沒有效時，人民就認真的做自己的事，這是台灣最重要的資產。
蔡英文舉一個她到枋山參訪的例子。枋山中學由於只有26個學生，為了招募到50個學生以避免遭到廢校的命運，他們需要整修學校成比較像個樣子，由於他一年的學校維修費用只有9萬元，於是學校的主任就發起一項招募義工協助整修的活動，結果來了四、五百位志工，用了兩個周末日也就是四天的時間就整修完畢。
蔡英文說，她遇到志工就問說，妳從哪裡來? 結果發現，他們只要上網，志工就來了。有六十歲、四十歲也有二、三十歲的志工，還有從台北來的花匠，顯示台灣社會力量很大。她認為，在政府財政不足的情況下，可以動員社會志工的能量，彌補政府的不足。
吳念真也認為，藍綠可以說是台灣現在最大的問題，但志工可以衝破藍綠。蔡英文說，像社區照養服務，都已經沒有藍綠，透過志工的集結，可以沖散社會的藍綠癥結。

"鼎革" 單就字面上解釋，指的是改朝換代
"咸亨" 除了字面意思外，正巧也是唐高宗的年號；
而唐高宗逝世後，中國歷史上唯一一位女皇帝武則天開始掌權。
依這樣的邏輯解釋，鼎革咸亨就成了「武則天換掉唐高宗」
