music books & respite

 If I should ever get round to publishing a book of tunes what would be the best format?

   I’m kept busy with caring duties but after a long wait I’ve just been given a short respite break! I am looking for somewhere quiet where I can eat and sleep for a few days at fairly low cost. U K of course, but not too far north. Suggestions would be welcome.

Micheal,  try your local Social Work dept. I work as a carer in Scotland and we have ( a very few ) Respite Centres specifically for Carers or the Cared for. Costs are usually met by Social Work. Yes the Social Workers may even have a list of places to stay on their books. Sometimes the charities or local groups for a particular disability may have access to accommodation as well and that includes for the carers as well.

A short break would be very welcome I am sure. It's a demanding job.

As regards a tune book, I prefer an A3 size myself (fits into a case well and easier to prop up without the pages folding down). The Northumbrian Pipers Society do their tune books in this format and it seems quite popular).
