Hugin is a Panorama stitcher and more. A powerful software package
for creating and processing panoramic images.
A hugin-2010.0.0_rc1 (release candidate 1) tarball is available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/hugin/files/hugin-2010.0_beta/
This is a release candidate, i.e. The final release may be
identical. We have skipped a beta series since as far as I know
this branch is ready to go, but we really need testers to use this
branch before release.

Summary of major changes since 2009.4.0:
* Autocrop button in Fast Preview window.
* Tabbed Fast Preview window.
* Deghosting for exposure fusion Google Summer of Code 2009 project.
* Finnish translation.
* About Dialog now shows a table of contributors, please check to
ensure you are listed correctly.
This branch of Hugin does not have some of the features in the current
trunk, i.e. it doesn't have mosaic mode, the mask editor, layout mode
in the Preview, linked bracketed stacks, or the new heuristic approach
to matching photos - All this stuff will be in 2010.2.0.

Compiles and runs (my stuff) fine on Fedora 12 x86_64.
Mind you though: It needs a more recent version of libpano, than the one
shipped with Fedora 12.

It shouldn't do, the intention is that it works fine with the
current stable 2.9.14.
The only advantage with using this version of Hugin with
2.9.17_beta1 is that you get the General Pannini projection, there
should be no gain with using anything in-between.

This version of Hugin has 0 untranslated and 5 "fuzzy" messages. I
don't understand the development process properly, sorry.

AFAIK fuzzy messages are text snippets where descriptions of similar,
older functions was used as a placeholder. Another reason for the
"fuzzy" flag might be that the original english text has changed, so
that message in your language needs to be compared with the original text.

Generally it is the trunk that gets translated (exactly as you have
done it). I then manually transfer these updates to the branch with
msgmerge.
So 2010.0.0_rc1 has a Hungarian translation that was last updated
from the trunk two weeks ago.
The 'fuzzy messages' are because the English strings are slightly
different in the two versions, usually this is just capitalisation or
punctuation and can be ignored (I think, I only speak English so I
can't thoroughly check any of the translations).

Some time ago we changed the static libglew and libexiv2 for their dynamic versions in the XCode project. I forgot to merge that to the Release branch.
After having corrected that I committed that now to the Release branch.
The cmake compilation works fine.
The resulting bundle from XCode and the resulting cmake Hugin.app work fine as well.

We don't need another RC at all if we assume that users build via cmake. That one builds and works OK.
Perhaps only if we assume that users build Hugin themselves using the XCode project. Based on the number of users who (can) do that we can safely say that we won't need an additional RC2. I still committed it in case we would need another RC for whatever reason.
If we want to be 100% correct we should release another RC in which case I would be very ashamed for being the reason for that.
