HELP! Americans Need Your Help ASAP in NEW ORLEANS!

My fellow Americans, our fellow citizens need your help. The Coast
Guard and Army National Guard are incapable of saving all the lives
that are in danger at this moment.

Many many thousands of people are stranded in their homes unable to
reach the roofs but the water is rising in New Orleans.

If you have a watercraft of any sort, and sufficient gasoline, and
skill to help out, please go to New Orleans now and help rescue people
in their homes and on their roofs before its too late for them.

Beweare the snakes! Snakes are everywhere! Lots of people have
suffered from snake bites and will die without treatment.

Food and water are totally unavailable.

Take all that you can and make sure that if you go, you do not become a
problem!

Please pass this word around. Unfortunately, our government is moving
too slowly to save the lives of people who need help. YOU CAN MAKE THE
DIFFERENCE!

The mayor of New Orleans just called out for help! Take any boat you
have esp flat bottom boats to New Orleans now and use FRS and CB radios
to communicate. THERE IS NO CELL PHONE POWER! Do not rely on your
cell phones. Take all the gasoline, food and water you can. There
is a Sam Club in New Orleans where everyone is meeting with their
boats, although that is not required. Remember that the water is
rising and many are trapped in their homes in the attacks and are
unable to cut a hole in the roof to stand on it , so they will die if
the water rises high enough. There is no electricity whatsoever, so
latens, stoves and batteries are all youll be able to use.

A call for canned food and openers has gone out. Bottled water and
canned food, soups, etc that will not spoil are being requested.

Antibiotics are needed as well as general items like alcohol and paper
towels so that people can use those to take a bath with. Disease is
spreading so much and alcohol baths are the only way to stop that
spread.

Be aware that if you go there, you will be exposed to things that can,
or may make you sick to your stomach. Bacteria is in the water to the
max. It is not clean, do not get in the water unless you have to.

Bring home the 140,000+ troops in Iraq. They would be much more useful in
LA, MS and AL than in that shithole!!!!!

I would instead suggest that you first contact the Red Cross,
Salvation Army, FEMA, local ham radio ARES group, law enforcement near
New Orleans (you might have a hard time reaching them _in_ New
Orleans) or somebody similar and see what kind of help they need and
where you'd be needed the most.

A flood of volunteers trying to help may just make things worse. The
last thing they need is a bunch of people showing up half-cocked.

You could also just give the Red Cross money. They could certainly
use it right now.
