All is go for 13th Dec event. I have put a signup at http://hcul1.eventbrite.com/,
nice to see the tickets going fast.

James & Chris D. & I are busy planning the Homecamp3 details, I've got
the venue sorted and am spreading the word.

Lots of the bright and interesting people, many I have met via
Homecamp, have said they want to make all or some of the evening.

If you haven't been to the C4CC before, it is an a place with a real
buzz, not for the building itself, which is intended to be 'a blank
canvas' but for all the creative work going on in the corners.
Electroluminescent clothing and Arduino controller being sewn in one
corner, people bouncing on paving slabs to generate power in another,
more Arduino's controlling bits of a re-constructed piano awaiting
it's next performance, and there are always new surprises.

If you are involved with any of my HomeCamp Spaces, such as HackSpace,
Dorkbot, ReadingGeek, TVSMC etc and can arrange any stuff that will
show what goes on in your Space, please get in touch or bring it along
as there will be a display area to help everyone learn what others are
about. It will be your chance to gain some collaborators.

Appreciated,
Mike

Great stuff Mike, thanks for giving this the push it needed.

I've been busy fixing various things around the community:
- the blog page http://homecamp.org.uk has had the links sidebar
freshened (including a link to your HomeCamp page / podcast!), the
About page tidied, photos added in the sidebar, etc.
- there's an announcement post http://homecamp.org.uk/2010/12/02/homecamp-3-its-coming-sign-up-now/
which we can link to, with links to the Eventbrite signup and Lanyrd
pages
- the Facebook group has had an announcement posted with links to the
Eventbrite page, although I'm thinking we may want to change this into
a Page which is a more modern way of doing things on FB these days.

May be worth creating Facebook and LinkedIn events for HC3 as well?
What do people think?

Thx Andy, you've done such great work, you should add yourself as
'crew' to the lanyrd page. I am not a FB or Linkedin user at present,
and am trying to avoid FB, though like google it may be impossible.
But that is just me and PB pages can be public, I did note that the
existing HomeCamp FB page had no activity when I last looked.

More details about Homecamp3 presentations:
Confirmed: AMEE: James Smith: Lead Developer, Clients & Community @
AMEE

And it is exciting to hear that Simon Daniel ( http://www.moixa.com )
will be coming along and is keen to talk about their Smart DC Homes
Project, which sounds, to me, like an implementation of the LVM idea
that was discussed in another thread.
