Brilliant! That is one massive building.  Forgive me if you already stated this, but: how many panels does this design require?

About tapes: I spoke yesterday with Mike Henderson who built 40 hexayurts for burning man last year.  He says that if he were to do it over again, especially to make a more permanent hinged hexayurt, he would use bituthene tape.  Does anyone have experience with this tape or and idea how it would/would not work?

Thanks all,
Julie Danger

Bituthene tape is really bulky, but it does stick, and it's pliable. It's very likely cheaper than bi-directional, which offsets it's weight/bulk/ugly factor. I'd use it for the cost savings for sure. It's a construction thing; you buy it from roofing supply window/door distribution places (more recently used for flashing where it's total overkill). Comes in a variety of widths, and available in any color you want! As long as you want black.

Curious if Mike Henderson used a table saw or a draw-style knife for his 40 HYs.

Hi Julie,
Thank you, replied to your message under my original post. Any idea
where to find bituthene tape?
