As you can see (and taking into consideration that the Harmony CDD was
established in March of 2000), the developer's record of Harmony's history
is somewhat thin. It might take folks an average of about 45 seconds to read
in its entirety.
As a point of comparison, this newsgroup has been in existence for just more
than half of Harmony's history (since March of 2006). Yet Starwood's very
first version of the developer's new website (after taking over from the
Lentzes) only made its debut in April of 2007 (including the history page).
So here's a question for Jim Warren.
Would you agree that the content of this forum represents a significantly
more complete record of Harmony's history than what is represented on the
developer's website?

George,
No.
The Harmony website is not meant to be a chronological record of grievances,
like this forum. It is a company website.
Would your company website provide a full list of issues it had since day 1?
In the same way that this forum rarely portrays the good the Community and
its developer brings.

Jim, please don't take offense. But either you did not understand my
question or I did not understand your answer.
Bear in mind that I was not referring to the entire developer website. Just
their page titled "Our History" (meaning the history of Harmony).
George asked:
Would you agree that the content of this forum

Harmony's history than what is represented on the

Jim answered:
No.
I know that you also added some explanation, but your basic answer was "No."
So unless I totally misunderstood you Jim, your answer means that the
history page on the developer's website is a more complete record of the
history of Harmony than this forum is.
Did I misunderstand you?

Yes you mis understood, and I probably did not fully expalin my reasoning.
Both are devoid of full content, and inaccurate. It would be unfair to pick
one over the other.
But as I stated, it is not fair to put a company website up against a forum
in terms of content.

When you say the developer's history page is inaccurate, I assume that you
don't mean it's completely inaccurate. It must have some elements of truth
to it.
Since you believe the developer's history page is not completely accurate,
do you think that it should be removed?

I meant inaccurate as it is not a full history, just a brief synopsis.
The developers webpage is sufficient as far as I am concerned, and have no
problem with it.
Why would I think it should be removed?
Please stop the pointless questions George. if you have a point to make,
just make it, and stop pussy footing around.
The Harmony website is fine.

I agree Jim. The developer's history page about Harmony shouldn't be
removed. Although it's just a brief and incomplete synopsis, Starwood /
Harmony Development Company has every right to present its version of
Harmony's history. Even if hackers could somehow prevent potential Harmony
home buyers from viewing the developer's Harmony history page, they
shouldn't. That would be wrong.

I'm not sure what you think is unfair Jim. But I am sure that there is
really no comparison between the developer's representation of Harmony's
history and the actual history of Harmony that is documented in this forum.
A partial list of topics from this forum appears below. As you can see, it
presents a substantial record of what has been going on in and around
Harmony since 2006. It's much more than just grievances about the
developer's shortcomings.
Even if you think that some of the information is incomplete or inaccurate
Jim, I hope you can agree that everyone has the right to read this history
and make up their own minds about its relevance without interference from
anyone else (as is true of the developer's website).
