Hi guys! I arrive from Cambodia tomorrow and I'll be in Singapore until the 4th of November. Would it be possible to visit the Hackerspace/meet up fro drinks in this time frame? Also where would you recommend me to stay in Singapore? (I trust the Hackers advices:)

Hope to see you soon!

Hi Stefania,

If you're looking for cheap accommodation and you dont mind that it's near the "red light district", you can look into Betelbox hostel. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g294265-d547088-Reviews-Betel_Box_Hostel-Singapore.html
If you're looking to travel around Chinatown, Beary Good hostel. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g294265-d1655965-Reviews-A_Beary_Good_Hostel-Singapore.html
If you're looking to stay around where normal singaporeans stay, you can try the Hive http://www.thehivebackpackers.com

If you're looking to stay in a proper hotel, possibly this would be a good location at reasonable price place. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g294265-d562032-Reviews-Victoria_Hotel-Singapore.html
If you're looking for some highflyer hotel, then MBS would be the only choice as of now. www.marinabaysands.com/

Hope that helps you a little,
alvas

Hello Stefania,

Here is a listing of budget hostels. Many visitors of hackerspacesg have stayed at Checkers Inn. But they do not have private rooms https://www.checkersinn.com.sg/cheap-accommodation.html

Another place visitors stay at is http://www.sleepysams.com/Room%20Rates%20and%20Facilities.html It is near hackerspacesg

Other places I found on google are :

These hostels got featured in our local papers a short while back:

I also have friends who stayed at http://www.hotel81.com.sg/

And yes, if you want to meet, just drop by and ring our doorbell. It will be good to call before you come, just to make sure you don't make sure someone is in. The hackerspace's number is 62977167.
