Hi,
I was trying out the Visualization API for GWT version 1.1, and found
out that the wrappers use the deprecated versions of charts which are
now part of the Core Charts (see
http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/release_notes.html#05182010
). The Visualization official release that included this is from
18/05/2010, and the GWT wrapper version 1.1.0 is from 11/05/2010 (if
I understand correctly).

I have a couple of questions:
1) Can a version for the updated Visualization API be expected, and
when? (would it help if I open an issue regarding it?)
2) Is there a regular cycle for releasing a GWT wrapper for the
visualization API?

Thank you for you efforts,
Amitay

http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/release_notes.html#migratingtocore

In order to do this with GWT, when loading the API, pass the string
"corecharts' instead of LineChart.PACKAGE as the last argument to
VisualizationUtils.loadVisualizationApi(). Do not use any of the
individual chart PACKAGE constants or you may see inconsistent
behavior.

I've updated the FAQ item at:

http://code.google.com/p/gwt-google-apis/wiki/VisualizationFAQ?ts=1278503711&updated=VisualizationFAQ#How_do_I_use_the_updated_Chart_look_and_feel?

so let me know if something there isn't right.

To answer your second question, the wrappers are not on a regular
release schedule, but a request over to the Visualization API Google
Group saying that you use the GWT wrappers and are interested in
updates would probably give the project a boost.

Hi Eric,

I think there is a typo. It should be "corechart" and not
"corecharts". The FAQ might need to be updated too.

Dogan
