Hi I've tried everything to get it work with transmit 4.1.7 but
nothing was possible.
I've changed the framework for the growl sdk 1.2.2 (it was supposed to
make it work.)
In fact, in growl 1.3 Transmit appears in the application. Transmit
doesn't appear at all in the history neither their is no notification
at all appearing on the screen.
I've set transmit and growl on another computer and was working great.
But I don't know why, on my home computer I can't set it. It's just
not working at all.

I don't know if it's a problem that you can fix or help me to fix, or
it's a transmit problem ?

computer: Mac os X version 10.7.1
pro 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5.

Do any other applications work (i.e., successfully notify) with Growl?

Then it's Transmit. You should contact Panic and tell them everything you've done, including switching out the framework, and the problem you're having.

I did, I'm waiting for an answer. Thank you for your time. I'll post
here if they gave me an update on the situation.

Here is the answer from Panic
"unfortunately Growl 1.3 isn’t backwards compatible with older
clients. We haven’t decided wether we’re going to update our apps to
work with the new version. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."

Well, I will take a look further cause I did it works on another
computer.

That true?

If so -- Old Growl Framework works for old Growl and Growl 1.3 client, so I really don't know why I should be in a rush to upgrade my framework and break a lot of my users.

It's not. The 1.2.2 framework is compatible with Growl 1.2.2, and Growl 1.3. The problem is when applications use the isInstalled method.

The 1.3 framework makes this a nonissue, and is compatible with both Growl 1.2.2 and Growl 1.3 and 1.3.1. We're also working on making the Growl Version Detective able to replace the framework in applications that it finds are using older versions, so that end users do not need to go replacing it by hand in all of their applications.

We knew some applications used the isInstalled method, but we didn't expect that it was more than a handful of applications doing that.
