I purchased 1.3 today and surprise does not work. I have a MBP 2010
and Lion. I am very upset because I bought something that does not
work or has problems. Remove this application in the App Store.

Hi,

I just installed Growl 1.3 aswell. I already had 1.2.2 installed since
before
and at the end of the introduction I was instructed to uninstall
1.2.2. I followed
a link to growl.info where I found an uninstaller which would
uninstall 1.2.2
and below. However, when it was finished I found to my surprise that
it had not only
uninstalled 1.2.2 - it has also uninstalled 1.3. Could this be the
cause of the problems?
A co-worker of mine was also complaining that 1.3 was not working and
it was the same
issue.

Best regards,
Mio Nilsson

We're hitting this with a few people. Basically if you already purchased it, Apple will not charge you again. Click the buy button, and then once you log in Apple will notify you that you already purchased and ask if you would like to download again free of charge.

The iOS app store works like this as well by the way, in case you were wondering. I hope this helps. If not let me know.

Same thing for me. I have LION and just installed Growl 1.3. NO
notifications of any type.

I have a MBP 2010 and I purchased Growl for the first time, version
1.3
somehow it doesn't show any applications in the preference pane, any
solutions?

Alright, so try this. Go to launchpad, and in launchpad you will see Growl. Click and hold Growl until it shakes. You will see an X button, click that to remove Growl.

Once you remove Growl, make sure that Growl 1.2.2 is not in system preferences. If it is, then use the Growl uninstaller on our downloads page here: http://growl.info/downloads

Once all of this is done, you can go back to the app store and download Growl again. It'll seem like you are paying for it, but will let you know that you already purchased Growl, and ask if you want to download it again for free, just like the iOS app store does. :)

Can you start a new thread so that we don't confuse the issues others are having with the ones you are? I want to make sure your problem gets addressed and don't want to miss anything.
