Can't login into the network manager

I put in my password but it shakes like it's the wrong password. I
have verified that it is the right password. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

If it shakes its the wrong password!

Did you per chance have the caps lock on while entering the password,
try it while you turn on capslock.

I am having the same problem.Anything that needs to be unlocked says
Authentication failed.Problem is its the same password I log into GOS
with,so it cant be wrong.

I had the same problem. I found that you first have to change
permissions to access the network manager.

Click on System Preferences-->Administration-->Authorizations

Add user(yourself) to Manage system configuration then close
Authorizations.

Try editing network again.

This is probably not the best or most secure way to do it but it
worked for me. Hope this helps.

Same problem for me and the solution given here worked for me too. I
can edit the Manual Network Configuration now. Thanks. :)

Yes, this appears to be inherent in gos3. You can leave the
authorizations window open and revert to defaults pressing a button
after you are finished with network manager.
