I have a Dell Ilatitude that I have booted to the install CD a million
times - it just keeps on accessing the CD, locks up the system and
never completes the install. It has a 1GHZ proc and 256 mb or RAM,
designed for Win 2000, 40GB HDD, 1GHZ Intel Proc and refuses to
complete the install. mouse freezes, etc.
I also have to run both the install and the live CD in safe graphice
mode (regular graphics mode plits the display all funny, mouse halts
all the time and display id fraqgmented..

No option on the boot screen for install, just "Try gOs without
changing your computer" or whatever. I have attempted to kill and redo
the partition but to no evail. what am i doing wrong?

Dell Latitude 256MG RAM, 1GHZ proc, used to run Win2000

Is there sonething I;m not doing right?

I just want this machine to be a simple netbook....HELP!!

Common problem when using a partially finished download for the .ISO
file, or if your burn is marginal.

Make sure the .ISO file has the right size, idially check if the
checksum is correct.
Burn the .ISO with a "burn as image" burner, and burn at the lowest
possible burn speed.

If in doubt, try to boot on another system to check the CD, you should
get a fully working gOS, on it you will find an installer icon on the
desktop to run the final installer.
