There is currently a search ongoing, see WIRED's http://evanoffgrid.blogspot.com/,
where an editor has gone walkabout and thesearch is on to find him,
throughvarious clues.
Google Wave could be well demonstrated here, whereby global members
are updating a single source on the fly 24*7.
'Hunters' have already highlighted a lack of a useful tools available
(excluding Wikis and Twitter) to share their findings.
* Google Wave test accounts could be useful and demonstrated well
here.
- Maybe open the WAVE for viewing only to a global audience, to
showcase how you're coming along.

Stalking celebrities in large numbers is another potential use case here.
