Going through the "Hello World" of using Google Visualizations API, I
see that I need to load the API from Google's online repository, this
brings me to one question.

If I want to use the API in an application deployed in an
organization's intranet where clients are served the application from
a server within their network (not a web server online, one that may
or may not have internet access to load the API from), how do I go
about it.

What other options do I have as a developer / VAR / ISV .

I would really like to know as well.
Looks like you guys are not the first ones to ask this question.
thread/66bb152a008a6d47) - are there any updates?

I don't think it matters too much as long as the clients have web access.  After all, the JS runs in the client's browser, the API just adds data to objects and passes them along to a Flash object loaded in the browser.  Your data shouldn't be sent to Google.  In other words, if the client has net access, then an Intranet site should still be able to use the Viz API without issue.

Even if you could use your browser's "Save Page" to grab a copy of all the appropriate Flash and supporting JS, I don't think that would be allowed according to the TOS.

Just wanted to +1 for this feature.

It may be a viable business for Google to offer "Enterprise" license,
like Google earth. There are many options to create flash charts, but
I was looking at Google Visualization API because of 1) name brand,
and 2) possible interoperabilitywith other Google APIs. But due to
the nature of the data, we cannot use public services. Ideally, we
would like to run our own server on a closed network.

If the questions relates to privacy of data - you can refer to our
replies on a similar thread. In short, the Data Policy (for each
visualization) specifies how the visualization uses the data. Most
visualizations to not load the data anywhere except to the local
browser. Some Google visualizations that are rendered as images do
load the data, but only to render an image and data is always flushed
later on. You can choose to use only client-side visualizations.

The google.load() call is to get the latest version of the
Visualization itself, not to load or store the data being visualized.

As far as enterprise use cases are concerned, I can share with you
that we have heard this request from a lot of people, including large
organizations who want to use the Visualization API. We are certainly
thinking about this. When we have more to share we will do so as soon
as possible.

How about if certain users within the enterprise does not have web
access?
