The ecliptic plan is as important, and maybe even more useful, than the zenith point, nadir point and horizontal plan that are already displayed.
I hope this will come with the next "ISS" update ;-)

Yes!
The addition of a toggleable ecliptic and celestial equator line, and
possibly the galactic plane would make this a great education tool. It
could definitely help with night time observing work for students as
it's sometimes hard to quickly make connections from a flat paper star
chart to the real sky if you don't get much practice.
