Resolution of elevation service data

Thanks for including elevation data in the API.

I am presently using NASA SRTM3 data for my Google Maps applications.
SRTM3 offers a resolution of 1 arc-second (about 30m) for USA and 3
arc-seconds (about 90m) for the rest of the world.

Before switching my applications to the Google Elevation Service I
would like to know the resolution of the elevation data. What is the
resolution of the elevation data in your new elevation service?
