I am new to v3, and I look over and over, and cannot find a way to geocoding uk postcode, although I know it is not accurate.

V2, I learnt from some one, http://www.tomanthony.co.uk/blog/geocoding-uk-postcodes-with-google-map-api/, which use AJAX local search.

What about V3, any one knows?

AJAX search is AJAX search. Whether you use that service with v2, v3,
or something else altogether won't affect it.

There are also various external libraries, which use Ordnance Survey
data, so may be a tad more accurate than AJAX search:

http://www.uk-postcodes.com/ (Disclaimer, I built this one)

Don't the API geocoders use the same dataset? Since Royal Mail
released their postcode data, UK postcodes are available and accurate
in the API v2.

Using Local Search to geocode postcodes comes close to breaking the
Terms of Service. Fortunately it should no longer be necessary.

This v3 example geocodes postcodes:
