Here is how to fix it:
Go to "/shopPaypalis/includes/templates" and you will see a folder
called "YOUR_TEMPLATE". Take the contents of it and copy it to
whatever the name of your current template is (crazy masks or
whatever.)
Here is where this was noted in the installation instructions
"For your reference, here is the list of files you need to copy over
to your system:
YOUR_ZENCART_FOLDER/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates:
tpl_checkout_payment_default.php
tpl_gc_return_display.php
tpl_gc_return_noproduct.php
tpl_login_default.php
tpl_shopping_cart_default.php
tpl_time_out_default.php
* Note: The folder YOUR_TEMPLATE refers to the folder that contains
your templates.
The folder YOUR_TEMPLATE in the package refers to the folder that
contains
your templates, you must put the files in /includes/templates/
YOUR_TEMPLATE/
in your own templates dir there you should see the GC buy button."

This is correct.

Actually it should not appear on step one (that is the shipping method
page in Zen Cart checkout).
The GC "button" icon should only appear on the Zen Cart :shopping
cart" and "login" pages.
@tbokich - Just a reminder...
To receive best support please specify your issue in the subject line
heading when initiating a new thread. For example "Selecting Google
Checkout on step 2 of Zen Cart checkout does not work" or something
similar is helpful. "Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)" is
just a bit too general. After all this entire support forum is all
about "Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)". :wink2:
Thanks,
Woody
Although the button does work as soon as these files were ;laced in
the template file this took out the radio button for Google is there
any way to put a radio button back in so a customer can continue
through check out with the Google option. Thanks so much for getting
me straight with this

Personally, I would like to enable the button if I so desired but, I
can see their point of view.
I chose to make my normal shopping cart checkout button a "Cash" only
button for C.O.D. Since I only accept GC, PayPal and C.O.D. with no
shipping offered, I can do that. All I have to do a bit later is go
in and delete the references to PayPal that came with the express
checkout module.
Have fun!
Thanks again for your help

Google Checkout is just not a "payment" method. It is a total "checkout"
system.
The main thing to remember here is GC policy mandates shops NOT require a
shop login for customers using GC.
But yes I too would desire to be able to use Zen Cart checkout system to
support a GC payment, just like I can using PayPal IPN.
But this would appear to be counter to Google business/profit strategies. GC
merchants begin paying CC fees in 2008. But I also hear rumors that in the
future Google ads may be integrated into Google checkout pages. I hope this
is not true.
