Just wanted to hint to some other articles suggesting to use Google
App Engine as CDN:

Hi, I've update the idea from ipsojobs.

Now it uses memcache and can handle many directories and file types.
You have to flush memcache, if you update a file

Yes, I'd already written my own static content server, but I'm
thinking that Google should handle that.
