Since this morning, an increase in serving latency is affecting some
App Engine applications. We are actively investigating the issue right
now and will continue to post updates.

At various points throughout the day, a significant number of App
Engine applications experienced increased latency; additionally, a
very small number of applications returned errors due to incorrect
quota calculations. We are actively investigating right now and
working towards resolution. We apologize for this inconvenience and we
will continue to post updates on our progress. Please bear in mind,
these issues do not pose any risk to your application's code or data.
Issue #1 - Invalid Quota Errors. Some applications experienced
spurious quota denials due to incorrect calculations. This affected a
very small number of apps and we have fixed the issue. All quota
calculations should now be correct. Please note that this is unrelated
to the enablement of paid quota we launched last week. This issue
affected only the burst quotas, which govern maximum throughput, and
your budget has not been affected. Resolved.
Issue #2 - Increased datastore latency. Some applications are
experiencing increases in latency for calls to the datastore. We are
actively investigating this issue at present. Unresolved.
Issue #3 - Increased latency for dynamically served pages. Some
applications are experiencing significant increases in response
latency for dynamically served content. We are actively investigating
this issue at present. Unresolved.
Again, we apologize for this inconvenience and we are working
diligently to implement solutions. Please send feedback via the Group,
where we'll continue to read and post responses. Detailed, up-to-the-
