Last I knew, the Twitter API supported JSONP, which allows you to send a the name of a  callback method as a URL argument and then returns full Javascript call which your JS can then handle. I.e., you wouldn't need a proxy server.

That said, I'm wondering if the issue that you're having with the Feeds API is because of the https protocol you're using. Try requesting the regular http version of your feed and see what happens.

What's weird is that I tested another Twitter feed on the Google Code Playground and it worked:



I realize I could use the Twitter JSON API, setup my own proxy server, etc.
