gccgo build tool for Go 1

Hello all

Any thoughts on whether Go 1 will have a tool/Makefile support/
something to build Go projects with gccgo?

I see there's been some work on adding gccgo support to cgo:

Would the go tool be the right place to add support for building with
gccgo?

It would be nice if you could invoke go with -gcc or with some
environment variable set to use gccgo instead of gc/ld. Otherwise they
should behave identically.
