Juggling multiple accounts on gmail, it becomes a common mistake to
accidentally send an email from your default (personal) address rather
than through the additional email accounts you have set up on gmail.

It would be a great and simple preventative measure, something much
more simpler to have than the "did you forget to add attachment" or
"did you mean Bob Jones, instead of Bob James", and all the other
great lab features that are out there.

If there was a way where, when an email chain is started, by a gmail
user, the user has to physically choose which email he wants to send
it from, it would essentially eliminate accidentally sending the email
from the incorrect "from" account.

PERFECT description of my dilemma!

I third, fourth, fifth and so on this!

This a critically missing feature in every email service and client I
have used.

It is nice that at least most send replies from the correct addresses,
but when creating NEW emails, it is all too easy to forget to check
the "from" address.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! SOMEBODY COME UP WITH A PLUGIN OR SOMETHING
THAT GIVES US THE ABILITY TO CHOOSE "NONE" FOR A DEFAULT ADDRESS!!!!!

I've been looking for this for YEARS!

That would be awesome! Sending emails from the wrong adress happens to
me almost on a daily basis.

+1. Although I'm not sure what this means? I'm usually fine changing
the from address on 'new' e-mails. It's on replies that I typically
forget.

Apple mail.app can choose the best outgoing address by checking the
mail you use in older conversations with the current recipient(s).
I would love to have that feature in Gmail.
