The current ability to add "reply to" addresses for different accounts
is great, but it is missing a few important features:
* I use a generic domain (for example:
jo...@hub.com) to house all of
my real domains email (such as
jo...@a.com,
jo...@b.com) etc. I need to
reply as
jo...@a.com or
jo...@b.com but never as
jo...@hub.com -- It
would be great to be able to "turn off" a reply to address, including
the main one for the domain itself
* I have multiple email addresses that funnel into one. For example
my main work address might be
jo...@a.com but I might have other
nicknames such as
ad...@a.com or
webm...@a.com -- I always want to
reply as
jo...@a.com though to those emails. The problem is when I
activate the "reply as who the email is to" option. if someone writes
jo...@a.com, this works fine -- but if someone writes to
webm...@a.com, it may not... it might pull up whatever comes up
first in my reply select list (such as
jo...@b.com -- another reply
address). The only current way around this is to add yet another
reply-as address just for
webm...@a.com but the problem then, is
that the list becomes huge with all these extra items. If I have 10
different aliases, I have 10 different reply addresses cluttering the
list.
Hope that makes sense?
Basically we need a way to "filter" an incoming address to default to
a specific reply to address... like saying "anything that comes in as
webm...@a.com should be treated as
jo...@a.com for the purposes of
replying.
