We are unfortunately not able to replicate this crash using Vista on
RTM or Reader. Can you try temporarily renaming your data directory so
that we can isolate if it has to do with your local data?
Follow these steps:
- Shut down FF3
- Find the Gears data directory (see:
http://code.google.com/apis/gears/api_database.html#directories)
- Rename the directory to something else
- Restart FF3 and enable RTM and Reader for offline
Let me know if this works

Also, can you clarify whether you're seeing the crash on your XP
machine, your Vista machine, or both? I can read you original email
either way, so just wanted to check.
He fixed the problem on his laptop by deleting some old profiles that
he used with Minefield.
He's going to help us debug the desktop when he gets access to that machine.
Are you certain at this point that you were actually using the
"default" profile? Like, when you deleted "minefield", did you note
that history, bookmarks, etc were the same as you expected for
"default" and not like "minefield". I can see how this would be easy
to overlook in my own browsing.

Yeah, it seems very weird that a profile not in use could have any effect.
Nevertheless, I'm happy that you got it working and will keep this
info in mind for future similar issues.
Thanks,
