Hi all,
On the 1st of October, a group of Stanford students (SIA members) alongwith SAALT (South Asian American Leaders of Tomorrow) members volunteered to spend the day on a Bone Marrow donor drive and a visit to a senior citizens' home in honor of Gandhi Jayanthi.
I'd like to thank all the volunteers, performers and organizers who made the SIA-SAALT Be the Change day on October 1st a success.

I'd like to mention that a team of Stanford students (names included above)  went to Lytton Gardens to perform for the senior citizens there. It was worth the time and effort to see their happiness at seeing these dances and hearing the bhajans. I'd like to say a special thank you to Aditi Kapoor and group, Somik Raha and Rashmi Raghu for putting up with last minute changes in plans and for being so gracious about it.

I hope SIA continues to be a part of these volunteer programs and the SIA-SAALT collaboration can be continued in the future for other events too.

Thanks and regards,

Aditi
