Even though the last horse slaughterhouses in the U.S. have been shut down, thousands of horses are still sent to Mexico and Canada every year to be killed for meat

National Call-In Day for Horses is Tuesday, January 22nd!

Even though the last horse slaughterhouses in the U.S. have been shut down, thousands of horses are still sent to Mexico and Canada every year to be killed for meat. Only the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (H.R. 503/S. 311) can end the export of American horses for slaughter over the border.

The vast majority of Americans strongly oppose the slaughter and consumption of horses, and our laws should reflect their humane values. Please join millions of others across the nation in sending Congress a message that voters want them to take action to help horses now!

On Tuesday, January 22nd, please call your two U.S. Senators and your U.S. Representative and politely urge them to support the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act. Get phone numbers for your elected officials.

Please also forward this email to your friends and family and ask them to help end horse slaughter.
