I am happy to announce opening of job group similar to fossnepal
group.

It is also collaborative group. Its free too.

I have seen few times people posting opening in this group. From now
on one can use joblistnepal for such announcements.

I have wrote a blog about the motive of the group at

False info. As far as one can see, you are the owner of the group. There are no such threads as job openings therin. And the first thread you started is about its introduction. You shouldn't have posted the wrong information here... You are declaring as if this group belongs to someone else. Sorry, it sounds lame :P

Anyways, Ritesh Jee, No offence intended. Just felt like sharing my words. Is Job Listing part of FOSS? Isn't your thread more like advertisement(sorry to say, it is an advertisement). My point of view. How about people here start advertising their group and blog about their pets, hobbies, and so forth...

Yes currently i am the owner of the group. I will be managing it for sometime. But whoever interested to volunteer can send me email for manager post in that group. I will be more than happy to have you in managing team member. In future, new owner will also be chosen from managers. I have no problem in sharing ownership as well. I want it to be community not private company.

For saying about not having any job opening. I am really sorry for that. Actually it got started just on Nov 6th night. I got more busy on thinking about its promotion i.e. to add more member, invite more, talk about it more to whom i know personally. I had thought about to add opening from some news paper but i had no time. :( If i can find some volunteer member to do it then it will be great. But my more emphasis will be to motivate company/people who is in actual need to do the job posting. I think it will take some time.

Actually i got some write up about actual motive of the group on my blog already so instead of copy pasting i just put the link. You can choose not to click the link. :-)

Let me once again state the ultimate goal of the group. That is to have open database of job opening in Nepal. If we can convince most of the company to use the list then we will have single job opening database which can be used by anyone for any purpose. I am planning to use it to do research in my retired life and publish book on it and earn a lots of money :-)

I have not taken as offending at all. Your reply shows you are responsible member of foss-nepal. Keep it up.

Job listing is not part of FOSS. But i want to state again my plan is to have open content i.e. job database of Nepal. You can think of it as similar to FOSS but for content not software.

Yes, It is an advertisement. I feel there is no harm in helping one community to start up another community which has similar motive. If you talk about mailing list rule, i am really sorry i have forgot to put [Ad] on subject. I apologize to group members. We all learn by doing mistakes. :-)
