Hello Everyone,

Last week we launched to Beta version of Election Nepal (http://electionnepal.org) portal to track down data published by different sources regarding upcoming Local Elections. Currently, we are working to fix a bunch of issues and making it Mobile devices friendly is one of the challenges which we wanna fix fast.

Let's collaborate on it, your small suggestion and PR can make a huge impact. It's Open :)

Regards,
Nikesh

Like the initiative, hope you guys keep working on it and get it to good shape. A quick question -- is this a project directly initiated by FOSS Nepal people??? Asking just out of curiosity, as I have been wondering the new things that FOSS Nepal people have been doing.

Thank You Pravin Sir,

Currently, We (Open Knowledge Nepal and Code for Nepal) are hosting it and collaboration with others organization continues as the project is progressing slowly. But unfortunately, FOSS Nepal isn't directly involved in it till now cuz like as usual whom to discuss confusion is there. People who are helping to build it from the scratch are all FOSS members. It would be awesome to have direct involvement :)

Regards,
Nikesh

Nikesh,
Very quick thought that came to mind first - in today's day and age why would you want to build something from scratch?
Another quick question (if you know anything about it) -- what happened to the agri project that got started, had some traction and then shutdown? I wanted to contribute to it, but the direction the developers wanted to take was a little off what I was thinking.
Coming back to the thoughts of "usual confusion of whom to discuss", I feel, FOSS Nepal, though a community, needs some organization now. Its been too long since we had an organization (I meant fully functional).

Not that much from Scratch, what we did is, We made it open from the very beginning and that worked out. It was awesome to see many unknown people working to build it :)

I am unknown about Argi project but yes I also feel the same, making project sustainable with clear contribution guidelines is something we (FOSS Nepal) as a team are lagging nowadays. Hope we can work on it.

Regarding giving structure to FOSS Nepal, I tried by working in the concept of Person of Contact years ago but had already give-up upon it. But the suggestion and guidance of sir can be helpful in this.

Regards,
Nikesh
