And the tall person will most likely get one. And shoonya is tall :)
Not a fair play shoonya :P

Btw, How about giving away few T-Shirts as a prize of some game? Like
FOSSocials games or anything after the event.

And, i assume there are more number of T-Shirts this time?

There should be certain provision and criteria for people staying
outside the country.
Otherwise , true won't be there true democracy. How about certain
reservation for them?

country(If it is possible)

Binod and Sushil,
There are two types of t-shirts we are talking about here (somebody
please correct me if i am wrong). One type will be printed by
foss-nepal and the one being talked about in this thread are the
t-shirts that have arrived from SFD HQ for SFD celebrations in Nepal.
I don't know how abundant these "arrived" t-shirts would be and how
practical it would be to actually make them available inside or
outside the country.

But the other t-shirt is for sure, meant for use by all Nepalese
fossians or those who like nepalese fossians :) if you would like to
get one, please make sure someone in nepal gets in touch with the sfd
team. they will be available for sale in limited numbers.

well, can we order tshirts too. that would be nice hoina ra ? we still
have 20 more days ni (correct me if i am wrong)... so it need not be
in 'limited' numbers.
like we from dharan would like X number of Tshirts. :) (value of X not known) ;)

yah. pretty much. hempal dai has posted a message earlier this week
asking for orders for the t-shirts. please keep the orders coming. and
fast :) because out of these 20 days, t-shirt and posters are
scheduled to be finalized and printed first. probably next week. and i
am afraid foss nepal won't be able to order "unlimited" number of
t-shirts without such orders ;)

Dear All,
We are approaching too near to SFD and T-shirts and Posters
need to be finalized. Yet I can see that we're discussing over the
theme. The Artwork team is unable to initiate the design process unless
a fixed theme is decided. So let's finalize the theme of SFD ASAP.

Abhishek Singh

Abhishek, in fact all of us are now waiting for artwork results like
logos, t-shirt designs etc. In the last two meetings, the theme has
been decided. Yah, the catchphrase (slogan) for the theme is yet to be
coined and sadly, it looks like that is not going to happen in the
list. I would submit to anybody's whimsical catch-phrase than wasting
time over a dead list. Somebody please come up with just one. the
words have already been shortlisted, and one possibility has been
suggested too. it is just a matter of rearranging the words.
Abhishek, we are deadlocked here, imo. if nobody replies, i guess
artwork team will (should) have to decide for the theme too :) very
sad indeed.

Thanks Abhishek,

for bringing the basics, so ALL, we want SOME Creative IDEAS for the THEME SLOGAN Lunch. For example:

1. In SFD 2006 our slogan (theme) was: FOSS for the People; Lets make iT FOSSible
2. In SFD 2007 our slogan (theme) was: Linux for Desktops
3. So what for SFD 2008:...............................................

As said we has selected more diversification and we had good team having ownership in those ideas and are working really hard. The words that has proposed are:

Create (from Creativity, Innovation and things like that )
Share (sharing like sharing ideas, knowledge, education )
Collaborate (collaborate like Internet, FOSS enable facilitate Collaboration which further CREATES or INNOVATE new ideas, knowledge, education and stuffs like that)

So, Guys CREATE SOME INNOVATIVE SLOGAN for this SFD 2008

Looking forward to hear more from almost everyone (No matter what you have in your mind just TYPE it down and click the reply Button)

Best

Hey FOSSians
for SFD 2008 we can have "Create freely, Share freely" as theme or to make it more dramatic we can sum it up  as little formula : "Learn Free= Free Creation + Open Sharing" (It is not algebraic so don't sum it up as: free (learn-creation)=open sharing. :) ).

Similarly as I noticed this thread belongs to t-shirt and we were in long confusion for slogans to be printed on back side of t-shirt I propose either the use of above stated slogans or a phrase like "Ask me about free software" "स्वतन्त्र सफ्टवेयर वारे मलाइ सोध्नुहोस।

Abish we can ask for 100 T-Shirts including Dharan, Biratnagar and
BPKIHS.

What do you think.

Btw,

I think it would be best for us if SFD 2008 is written in the T-
Shirt.
Slogans are things "collaborative open creations" have to decide.

Dear All,
Thank you for your inputs. It may be off-topic for this thread to discuss design issues (which may better adhere to [Artwork] thread and wiki. Moreover let's start a new thread for the slogan, say decide most catchy slogans (may be 5 or 10) and after this phase, lets begin the poll phase to choose one among them.

Regarding design of T-Shirt, we need to consider other constraints (the case is that we are planning to get a sponsor for t-shirts (Hitech Printers??) so that we need to consider placements for the logo of sponsors).

Thank you.

May be T-Shirts should be SELF SPONSORED. NO corporate Logos. other than in line with FOSS

i like "create freely, share freely."
i would like the slogan short and very meaningful. How about the
following suggestions?

"Freedom in/to Creation/Create"
"Create Free !"
"Gives you wings" :)

though this one is long, i like the sentence: "knowledge wants to be free"

let me think more. let us.
