I have the flash4 eclipse plugin running on my Windows machine. I'd
like to integrate the flex client side code that I'm building locally
with my remote server running on a a virtual linux machine. It
includes databases etc that would be difficult to set up locally in
Windows. All the tutorials I've seen implementing remote objects use
localhost for both the client and server and won't work when I point
the flex application to the remote server's IP and deploy the flex app
locally for development.

What the best practice for developing and testing my application?
Would you recommend I 1) set up a gui on my linux remote server and
upload eclipse there, 2) try to reproduce the backend/data store on my
windows machine for testing, or 3) is there a way to get remote
objects from a remote server during testing/development?

Thanks

Scottt

What is mean by "won't work when I point the flex application to the
remote server's IP and deploy the flex app
locally for development" ?
What error are you getting?

Mohan
