How to configure for direct database connectivity to sql server 2005
since connectivity is inbuild ability of flex.

may be its possible through a http service call
where service end point has to configure in the sql server side
you need to create soap methods stored procedures
but this is not supported on 2008 sql server
its always recommended to to have a service layer.
