This bug has been already fixed and the patch is included in Firebug

A workaround for this issue:

1) Firebug (icon) menu -> Options -> Reset All Firebug Options
2) Press OK in the "Are you sure..." dialog
3) Close detached Firebug window (by clicking on window close button)
4) Open Firebug again (e.g, by pressing F12 key)

Now Firebug UI should be displayed at the bottom of your browser
window again.
