Firebreath gives you a windows HWND handle for the plugin window which can be used after firebreath's onWindowAttached event. QWinWidget acts as a bridge between Win32 application and Qt widgets as suggested in these two links.

So, If you make QWidgets as child widgets of the plugin window, then theoretically Firebreath and Qt combo might work.
Though I have always wanted to try this, but never got time. Please let me know if you are successful.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if FireBreath could be used in combination with Qt, and if so if someone perhaps has a very basic example of this? My target platform is Windows, but examples on other platforms would also be welcome of course.

For now I've used the QtBrowserPlugin solution to use a specific widget in a browser environment, but there are two main problems with this: there seem to be some problems with using Internet Explorer and you're confined to Qt 4.

So if the FireBreath/Qt combo would be possible somehow, that would just be great!

Cheers,
Jori

Yes, it's possible - and, though I haven't done it, it looks incredibly easy:

Well, it looks incredibly easy for Win32. Your challenge would be on Linux and Mac...

A quick test seems to indicate that this approach indeed works. Thanks!

I'll let you know how it goes with something more complex.

Cheers,
Jori
