Command line arguments when launching pinned applications

Is there a way to add command line arguments to the applications that
I 'pin' to the dock?

I had a look through the settings in gconf but cannot see where the
pinned items are configured.

Yes. But not directly.

We just store the paths to launchers (.desktop files) in GConf. So
the way you need to do it is, make a new launcher!

The easiest way is to use the Gnome menu editor, edit the menu item
and add the command options you want. This should actually make a new
launcher in ~/.local/share/applications with the same icon/name and
the new EXEC line.

Then (to be safe) restart Docky. Remove the launcher from your dock.
Run the program and choose to pin it. This *should* select the custom
launcher you just created.
