Hi all,
not entirely sure this has not been discussed here yet, but in the
OpenAccess age (or better, in the age where journals use licenses
allowing to redistribute and share papers), BitTorrent comes around
the corner as an excellent tool to mirror the scientific heritage.
As an example, BioTorrent has set up a page for science-oriented
torrents and actually has a snapshot of PLoS:

I do not believe any library is mirroring this corpus of scientific
literature yet. It is fairly easy for an IT department to set up a
mirror for any university library.
Should they? Which university library will be the first to start doing this?
