The Restaurant Opportunities Center (ROC-DC) is putting out a call for legal and corporate research interns to assist with part of our initial research on the labor conditions in the restaurant industry in DC.  This research includes surveying over 500 workers, scheduling and completing 40 in-depth worker interviews and scheduling and completing 40 in-depth employer interviews.  Interns can help with any and all of this research.  The information will then be compiled and published in a final report with policy recommendations.

ROC-DC is part of the ROC-United network -- www.rocunited.org, a national restaurant workers' organization.  ROC-DC's work is framed by a tri-pronged strategy: organizing and advocating for the rights of restaurant workers; conducting research and policy work in the restaurant industry; and developing a coalition of 'high-road' restaurants.

For more information please contact Beth Pacifico by email at bethpa...@gmail.com or by phone at 716.913.4517.  You can also call our office at 202.559.7496.  And, feel free to forward this along to anyone you think might be interested.

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Beth Pacifico
