The RBVI is pleased to announce the release of chemViz 1.2 for
Cytoscape 2.8.3. chemViz brings the world of cheminformatics to
Cytoscape by providing visualization of 2D structures and
calculation of chemical descriptors within the context of a
Cytoscape network. This new release has been extensively updated,
including the following new features:
- Addition of the ability to calculate the Maximum Common
SubStructure (MCSS) of a group of nodes
- Rewritten 2D structure renderer for significantly improved PDF
output of networks with 2D structures attached
- Addition of several new chemical descriptor calculations
including the special "Lipinski and SDF" which add several
descriptors
- chemViz 1.2 is now "CyCommandized", which provides access to
the chemViz functionality from commandTool scripts and other
plugins
- Most of the algorithms have been parallized, resulting in
significant performance improvements on multi-core machines
ChemViz is available through the Plugin Manager and on the App
Store. For more information, please refer to the chemViz web site
