Located in beautiful downtown Saint Louis, Contegix is the premier
managed hosting company. With our focus on the Linux, OSX, J(2)EE, and
Rails markets, we provide advanced connectivity solutions, including
our trademark Beyond Managed Hosting, colocation, and managed
application delivery. Contegix is currently seeking energetic, bright
Linux System Administrators to work with our Managed Linux customers.
The successful candidate will provide complex technical services for
our Linux managed hosting infrastructure and respond to the needs of
customers. Other key responsibilities will include implementing,
configuring and/or maintaining dedicated Linux servers in a high-
availability environment. This position requires a candidate who shows
self-initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
• Associate's degree or Trade School certificate in a related field
• Passion for Linux and Open Source
• Ability to have fun in a hectic environment and put customer needs
first
• Strong skills with solution design, solution development, technical
performance and networking
• Outstanding problem solving and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt easily
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work
well within a team
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated technical Linux administration skills on RedHat
Enterprise Linux
• Experience with project leadership, as well as product, services
and solutions management
• Experience with Java/J2EE application servers, including Tomcat,
Resin, and Jboss
• Experience with Ruby on Rails Deployments
• Experience with local area and wide area network administration
Candidates must be willing to work downtown (parking is paid for by
company). Positions open for almost every shift with an emphasis on
second, third, and/or weekend shifts. Candidates will have the
opportunity to chat with current employees to learn about
theenvironment.
