FW: Parker family necklaces

In case you don't know who the Parker family is, it's the 4 children (all girls) left behind after their father shot and killed their mother at Piedro's Pizza a month or so ago. The girls are fighting to stay together and somehow survive with very little money. There's been a couple of articles written in the Times Dispatch about how the community has come together to try to help them. They have no insurance, not much money, etc. Several teachers at Davis Middle have stepped in to try to help them out too.....here is another. Just thought maybe you might like a cool piece of jewelry with part of the money going toward such a good, yet very sad, cause.

Subject: Parker family necklaces
Hello Everyone! I found this woman on Etsy (an online artisan community) that makes personalized jewelry, and I told her about the Parker girls. I hired her to make each of the four girls a necklace, and they turned out so beautifully! (I haven't given them to the girls yet, so please don't say anything to them if you see them.) But, my point in writing to you is that she was so moved by their situation that she wants to help. And get this, she's all the way out in Wisconsin!
Anyway, Barbara (the necklace maker) wanted me to extend this offer to the community helping them. If you contact her to make a necklace for you, a portion of the proceeds will go towards a check she'll cut directly to the Parker girls.
The necklaces are beautiful. I'm attaching a picture of the necklace I had made for the girls, as well as the one I had made for me. If you're interested in a "family necklace" of your own, just follow the link below and make sure you tell her it's in honor of the Parker girls!
