Dear Fellow Coworkers,

Due to personal and professional opportunities, I am finding running
Cubes&Crayons alone to be beyond my scope these days (at least if I
want some decent sleep). I am therefore opening it up to a possible
partner who would like to purchase a share and take on some of the
operations especially as we grow (details coming) and/or selling the
Mountain View location.

I am putting this out to our community and the coworking community
because so many of you have been such great supporters and fans. If I
don't find the right fit, we won't be selling Cubes&Crayons any time
soon, but throwing this out there in hopes of finding a great partner
and/or person to carry on the fantastic brand and space I have build
over the last 2 and a half years.

Looking forward to hearing from serious individuals.

Congratulations on figuring out your boundaries and trying to make something work out!  And thank you for reaching out to the coworking community as a resource.  Is this the first time that we've seen a coworking space (or a part of one) sold?  This is interesting stuff to keep track of and capture the story of as we go along and learn from one another. 

Are you keeping a blog on the matter at all?  If so, please let us know.

Hi Susan,

Very delayed response...I've been swamped. I am selling Cubes&Crayons
Mountain View but not the brand. Just the location because I am just
too busy
with other things to give the space the attention it needs. It is
doing well and
we have more and more blending of just coworkers with our coworkers
with kids.

We were just in Redbook magazine and used it to launch our brand and
license software program.
The software was built in house and is a valuable reservation tool.
We might adapt for a broader audience
but that definitely remains to be seen.

We are working with people across the country to help them get their
own Cubes&Crayons
up in the meantime. The blog will stay ours, but look to see location
specific blogs starting.
We have about 20 potential licensees interested at the moment. It
will be
interesting times. Still hoping for a potential licensee in Seattle,
New York, Boston, and Philadelphia
among others, but those are definitely top on my list.

Will keep everyone posted as new Cubes&Crayons launch.
