Wanted to share this mainly because I think it's cool and maybe a good
example for other cities with a few (or more) coworking spaces. A
group of five different coworking spaces in Prague, Czech Republic got
together to see how we could work together. The immediate outcome was
a bi-weekly group meeting followed by a Jelly, a shared website
(http://www.coworkingvpraze.cz), limited shared membership across
spaces, and a number of other things in the works. I've been surprised
and happy at how willing so many independent spaces competing for
members in the same (currently small) market have been to work
together.

Thanks to "Coworking Seattle" for the inspiration!

Here's a blog post about it: http://blog.locusworkspace.com/2012/02/recently-locus-workspace-has-teamed-up.html

Would love to hear about other examples of this.

Best,
Will

Awesome.

Seattle has a similar group with CoworkingSeattle.org, though i believe they are rebranding as the seattle shared space alliance or something to that effect to include more than just coworking spaces.

This rocks.

We here in Toronto have been working together under CoworkingToronto (coworkingtoronto.ca).

We meet once a month, talk about various issues, decide on how we can work together to raise the profile of coworking in town. We also just worked with a designer to redo our logo, which should be ready soon, and then we can launch a really awesome project. And Chad (Creative Space) and I have started on CoworkingOntario for a provincial initiative with our first gathering to be in May.

I was just chatting with Julianne from Deskmag yesterday about how this is something we're seeing more often. CoworkingSeattle has certainly been a great resource.

Thanks for the positive feedback all! And very cool about the Toronto
group! I had not heard about it (or maybe heard long enough ago that I
forgot :).

Thanks everyone for the kind notes and such about Coworking Seattle! We are soon-to-be rebranding as the Seattle Collaborative Space Alliance, with the goal of connecting more than just traditional coworking spaces. We believe that by connecting and working with various spaces that are collaboration-based (maker spaces, design spaces, art spaces, etc.), we can all learn a ton from one another. We'll keep you posted!!

Susan
