Some call it Jackson Hole, Wyoming, some know it is paradise (albeit a
cold one in the winter). It's a town full of outdoor adventurists and
more than enough for them to do. While we have many folks with master
degrees waiting tables or running the ski lifts in order to live here,
plenty of others are using their brains and expertise in their own
gigs. Real estate is expensive so office space is often one's house,
the library or one of our wifi-endowed coffee shops. There's a good
chance we have enough free-lancers, entrepreneurs, and other work from
home professionals to have an active coworking space - if we can show
them it is worth what they'd otherwise spend on sports equipment.
We're currently working to gauge the local interest. We're not a
city, the county's population is 20,000- but generally a intelligent,
driven, creative, and risk-taking group.
What do you all think? Can it work in a town? How do I generate
interest and excitement? How do I convince them it's worth that new
Arcteryx fleece?
