Reguardless of what application, is the black 100% K or is it a
composite black? Also, what is the color space setup for? CMYK or
RGB?

To me it seems to be driver/PPD related. Too many applications area
affected. If it was a single one, then i would dive into that. Since
I do not know how your setup (lpr or usb) or what OS (Win/OSX) or what
version of the 7300 I will tell you this.

I would uninstall all drivers and PPDs related to the 7300. I would
reboot your computer twice. That will get it out of the registry/
system and get you a clean boot. I would download the latest version
of the driver and also the PPD and install them all correctly.

Once done it is loaded correctly, make sure that the 7300 is the
default printer. You might print to other printers, but when your
creating files, it should be the default.

Also, when printing, make sure that the driver is setup correctly. I
seem to remember that under pressmatch for color setting you should
use commerical. It's the CMYK setting. There are also CMYK samplers
in the troubleshooting area that you can print off to make sure that
what your sending down is really CMYK. If all that fails, I would
call xerox @ 1-800-835-6100. I would ask to go to Escalated Software
Support. The front line people might know your issue, but I would
talk to the ESS people. They know their stuff.

I also surfed the http://www.office.xerox.com/color-printers/phaser-7300/sprt-enus.html
area for quick solutions, but I ended up downloading the driver and
checking the settings.

Hope that helps
