When I was a kid, I had an Apple ][+. I wrote about 500 or so games in
basic and assembler on it. Some were good, some were pretty stupid. Jetpack
is derived from a game I wrote back then that I felt was one of my more
playable concepts. At college, I wrote Jetpack for X, copyrighted the
source code, and distributed it over the net for free. When I got a Mac, I
decided to make a Mac version with better graphics and sound. All this stuff
came straight from my twisted mind. I have never seen or heard of the Spectrum
game Jetpack, (or the Spectrum for that matter) or the PC shareware game of the
same name. So if my game bears any resemblance to the above, it is purely
coincidental. (Although the PC game disturbs me -- someone told me it's
copyright date was 1993, and I put out the Jetpack X code in 1992, so it might
be based on my game without my permission. But I'm not going to worry about
that now.) I hope this clears things up. I guess you'll be better able to
tell when the game is out, so I should shut up and get it out there.
Thanks,
Mark
