I've seen that happen with an Oki impact printer on an HP JetDirect.
Somehow the parallel port handshake signals on the Oki are non-standard,
and it would lose characters when the buffer filled up. Changing the
parallel port settings or mode on the JetDirect fixed it, although I
can't recall exact details. The details should be locatable by
searching on the HP web site.

I suggest that You change the parameter 'Destination Options' on Your Remote
Printer Queue definition:
ENDWTR XXXXXXXXXX *IMMED
CHGOUTQ XXXXXXXXXX DESTOPT('XAIX XAUTOQ')
STRRMTWTR XXXXXXXXXX
These two parameters should manage time-out problems and number of copies
being printed.

Right-click on the JetDirect, select Modify.
Parallel Mode: Speed of connection
set to Centronics
Parallel Handshaking: Communication protocol
set to nAck and Busy
Click Finish.
Writer FTSPRT02 stopped writing file F4A002 at record 0.
Sometimes resetting the outq and powering on and off the printer and
direct and jetdirect box will get it to print another page. Anyone have
any experience with this?
