Is anyone else beyond annoyed with the two pathetically desperate
"small business owners" that have driven this group into the ground?
I subscribed 6 months ago hoping to learn something about the
"state-of-the-art" in voice recognition from the user's perspective.
All I've managed to learn is that most users are apparently being
ripped off by over-charging slimy weaseloid microphone hawkers.
Martin Markoe and Mr. "speaktoyourpc.com", I beg you to consider the
number of potential customers you're pissing off before you further
demonstrate your witlessness by posting again. Your childish
King-of-the-Group games should've stopped a loooong time ago.

SpeechMagic, IBM ViaVoice, IBM Medspeak, Kurzweil VoiceMed, Dragon
NaturallySpeaking Enterprise & L&H VoiceXpress... So please, don't
call me a "Charlatan" because it is simply not true.
And believe me when I tell you that some users actually get better
recognition from $20 headsets than with $100 headsets.
I see vendors posting all the time and as long as you are not a member
of the newsgroup, there aren't constant one-up battles.

As a lurker on this board (and others) I resent you referring to John
Doe as Martin's alter ego. Doe is an absolute waste of time and space
and offers nothing of value here. While I have not yet purchased
anything from Martin, I enjoy his posts and find his web site to be
wealth of knowledge on speech recognition. And no I don't know
Martin.
As far as not being an American, my guess is that you're in the
minority and most people here are (at least the few who are left that
Doe hasn't chased away). It would be nice to take a little census.
Regardless the term un-American used by Martin means to me Anti
Business Intellectually Devoid. Personally I don't care where you
from offer something of value here or don't waste my time. Doe kind of
reminds me of those yahoos who are in my junk mail folder everyday
attempting to sell me Viagra.

You shouldn't cheer lead for a malicious spammer troll either. This
group is not for selling microphones. Much more technically inclined
users offer help in many different USENET groups without constantly
advertising their commercial web site. This tiny group is an exception
because, so far, not enough knowledgeable and well-intentioned
regulars stick around to correct the spammer.
