it down to make it possible to solve the trouble. Especially as we
do not can use your computer and try it.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is the well-known WinXP problem that is
documented on www.mathworks.com and in previous posts here. Not sure
though, because I don't use WinXP so I don't really pay attention to those
posts (except to notice that different people keep asking the same
question over and over).

Yes, it's probably either the Windows XP issue or the Pentium 4 issue. The
latter is discussed in the Technical Support Guide to the MATLAB Student

Wow-
That WinXP version is tough. Right now, our department is considering
requiring the student version as a textbook for one of our courses, but if
we're going to be micromanaging our student's OS's, we'll have to take that
under serious consideration.
What's the Snafu, if you don't mind me asking??
